We thoughtfully consider the impacts that growing fibers has on both wild and cultivated landscapes - and aim to help protect them from unsafe chemicals. The Responsible Wool Standard, the Leather Working Group, and CanopyStyle are all helping us ensure that wool, leather, and cellulosic fabrics such as viscore/rayon, lyocell, and modal meet our standards. From the Ground Up. From the Ground Up. Banana Republic has made a commitment to source in-conversion and organic cotton from a co-op of 1,500 farmers located in India's Madhya Pradesh regions of Alirajpur, Kudanpur, and Udaigarh.  As part of this initiative, we are working with Arvind Limited to fund the training of farmers in converting to organic practices. We define more sustainable cotton as including Better Cotton (formerly BCI), verified US-grown cotton (USCTP), organic, in-conversion (to verified organic), recycled and regenerative. 97% of our goal BY 2023 WE AIM TO USE 100% SUSTAINABLE COTTON. Sourcing recycled and responsible wool from vendors that are compliant under the Responsible Wool Standards; linen and recycled polyester. 65% of our goal BY 2023 WE AIM TO USE 50% SUSTAINABLE FIBERS. Sourcing more sustainable cotton, partnering with CanopyStyle Compliant suppliers to source preferred man-made cellulosics.
