And if you live in a cold climate, this will NOT meet your expectations. Please rewrite the description so others are not misled

bananarepublic.gap.com/The skirt is lovely and good quality, a piece to keep, and easily transitions from fall to winter. It can also go day to night with little effort. The embroidery is eye-catching. To explain the fabric: by definition, this is fine wale (or pinwale) corduroy. Corduroy isn't limited to wide wale and can be a blend of fabrics, but cotton is usually a primary component. The ribs are so close together and fine in the skirt that the texture is difficult to discern. Think of it as a very subtle grosgrain, or a delicate faille. It retains quite a bit of the durability and strength that corduroy is known for, but in a more refined manner.

First and foremost - as others have noted - this skirt is NOT corduroy. It is a midweight cotton. I thought it'd be like very fine corduroy texture, but no. So, is it cute? Yes. Is it corduroy? No. Did I want corduroy? Yes. Did I return it? Also, yes.
