While there is extra fabric, the belt cinches the waist perfectly. The hang is nice and the fabric lays well. I am 135-140, 5'6", and hourglass and this fit me comfortably. I could have sized down but will be using it for warm climates so wanted the extra comfort.

True to size, just too much fabric waist down and falls bit loose.. it has very thick material so it's not soft cotton.. it's almost like denim kind material. However it looks good and I will keep it. Got medium and it's true to size for someone who is 140-145 lbs
