I wanted to keep it as it could come handy if we go back to the early 19th century as a daily durable dress or if I were cast for a sequel of the handmaid tales but ultimately I opted for a refund to spend on something I could wear now.

bananarepublic.gap.com/As others have said, the dress is heavy. The material is thick. Personally, that's exactly why I bought it, because I needed a dress for the winter that could keep me warm. The fit is lovely, and the material is still elastic enough I can technically squeeze into a 4 for a fitted look but the 6 is more comfortable with some light alteration. The only reason I didn't give it 4 stars is because I bought the red dress, but in low light it looks brown. I still want it in black too tho.

bananarepublic.gap.com/I ordered the petite XS as I am only 4'11" and weigh 100 lbs. The dress has a lovely style, but the excessive amount of coarse fabric will wear you down - no way do I feel comfortable wearing an extra 3+ lbs of fabric for even a few minutes, nevermind to an event.

Beautifully well made and draped dress!! Sadly- my torso is too short for this one! I am only 5'2, ordered the size 2 petite and the opening in the front showed nearly all of my breasts and the length of the dress was nearly to the floor.
