- A very cool jean, we iterated on the cool-girl barrel jeans of the season, adjusting the side seam so it twists forward and exaggerates the leg shape. Cut in a super-soft denim that's ideal for all seasons.

I own the original FP barrels and a couple other brands, so the style isn't the issue. The color is gray, the fabric is like canvas and the shape is off. Hard pass on this one.

First off, I LOVE the style and fit of these pants. The petite length was great for me—I'm 5'2" and 125#. I typically wear a size 26 in BR. I ordered the black and the faded indigo in both 26p and 27p. The black 26p fit well—it's a rigid denim. The faded indigo is all over the place. The first set I ordered, the 26p was tight in the waist and perfect in the hips. The 27p was not only way too big in the waist, but the hips were a solid inch wider on each side, making the wide barrel look comical. Since they were so different in proportions, I thought there might be an error in labeling, so I sent them both back. I again ordered 26p and 27p in faded indigo. This time, they are completely different fabric. The 26p has stretch to it, while the 27p is rigid. They are different colors. And with of the different fabrics, the sizing is almost identical. I added photos to show. Ultimately, I'm keeping the second 26p because I like a tiny bit of stretch, but the 27p would have been fine, too.

I took a chance on these since they had excellent reviews and zero stretch. The denim has a great drapey weight and is so soft. Because they are loose in the legs but tight in the hips, they are super flattering for curves
