I like that there is a zipper and the drawstring works like an afterthought, not "holding up" everything! The pants are indeed baggy, and a bit hefty, so spring and fall to be the best time for them. I believe they will soften with washing, all in all, a very good (not great) buy.

bananarepublic.gap.com/I purchased ivory and black. The black buttons on the ivory look strange and they look huge on me. The black ones are a little large but I like the length and the draw string so they work well. I normally wear a 2 long which is no longer offered so sizing is now hit or miss and I have to decide between a baggy waist and but or too short.
