Love the fit, drape of these jeans. Definitely a heavy fabric so not really a summer jean. Sizing note: jeans at BR and Gap have run small for about 2 years now. My old size 29 jeans from BR are side by side the same size as a size 30 from BR now. So just keep that in mine when you purchase, you mig...ht be sizing up even if you haven't changed in size. Also I wish the lengths would be updated: a regular is too short for me, long is too long so I end up buying long and having them shortened which is an extra expense I wish I didn't have to add in.
Bought these jeans and had some from last fall that were wide as well. Banana Republic completely ruined the long length as it's barely a 33" inseam. L in e many leggy tall women I need at least a 35 " and especially with a wide leg where you want an elegant flowing look they should be long. I feel ...so sad and am shocked that Banana Republic would shorten their long so short women don't need to hem while we tall women simply cacti purchase. Please add the extra length so we can be customers. If you did it across the board as in regular and tall you wouldn't have 5'6" and 5'7" needing to buy a long length and you would also capture the taller customer as you did previously.

I bought these jeans in the white color last year and the denim was so soft and had great drape. Buying it in the black this year and while the fit is the same, the denim is very stiff. I feel like the jean is wearing me, not me wearing the jean. I'm keeping them because I got a great deal on them, but I wish the denim was softer. I washed it and the color seems to be keeping, unlike some other reviewers who said the jeans faded horribly after one wash. For reference, I'm 5'6" 125 lbs and I bought the size 28. Length is good for me but definitely need to wear at least a 2 inch heel or the hem will drag on the floor.

Really wanted these to work. They definitely run small. Ordered up a couple of sizes. Still a bit tight but legs just were too baggy with weird bulge at tip.

I love these jeans. I needed a nice, dark pair for work and these are it! I am 5'3" (just barely) and 120 lbs. I don't have large hips or backside. Typically, wide leg look very unflattering on my frame, but these are snug on my bum and then wide leg and straight. They look so sharp! I'm normally a 26 petite and that was the correct size for me in these jeans. They have the right amount of structure and stretch.

The pants are cut very small and ironically in the tall they don't make anything larger than a 31. Why? In the regular inseam the pants go up to 35, what about tall gals? They are beautiful pants but very oddly constructed. The waist band was super tight yet gapped in the back, the hips were far too small.

After just one wash, with cold water and inside-out, the jeans have lost their dark black color and became lighter with white/grey marks.

I love these jeans - they go so well with everything. However, I was surprised at how little "give" there was in the thigh & crotch area. If you're curvy or have an athletic build, you'll need to size up. I'm a size 27 in BR jeans normally and could barely get it up my thighs. Went up a size and they fit a lot better and have stretched a bit with several wears.
