Reference: 5'2", 145 lbs., longer torso/shorter legs, broader shoulders, 36C Usually a Petite Medium in tops and blouses. Ordered this top in black, during a recent sale, in hopes to wear as part of a wedding guest outfit with cream high waisted culottes. It is beautiful, with a wonderful drape and slimming effect with the cinched waist seam lines and the tie back. Buttons are black and enables you to create a v-neck effect or button to the top, depending on preference. Not overly sheer but I would wear a black bra under. The hemline falls right at the hip and conceals a tummy pooch in the most flattering way, especially for someone short as myself. The sleeves are a touch longer than I would prefer, but not a deal breaker. I'd say it runs pretty true to size overall, but it might be considered a bit short for taller gals. I appreciate that there are NO ruffles on this glass, which give it a sophisticated polish, perfect for various occasions; I'm in my sixties, but because I am short and don't have a defined waist, ruffles tend to look "juvenile" on me (no offense to those who can carry off ruffles). I really wish now I had ordered the cream color as I think that would have been a much better combo with the cream culottes (I think I could have gotten away with it, had it been sleeveless, however, but with the sleeves, the high contrast really cuts me in half visually). I may keep it for future occasions, as I think it would be stunning with high waisted dark wash wide leg jeans and other high waisted black pants in the fall or winter seasons. A feminine, yet sophisticated blouse I can highly recommend.

Very nice in theory, tie waist is great and the fabric in the pale color was thick enough to be opaque. But why is the yoke so small? Size large and the back yoke panel is so small across the shoulders, felt constricting and from the back made me look like my shirt was too small.
