Thank you Banana Republic for returning to the use of high quality natural fibers. Bravo! These pants made with very fine Italian wool are perfection - the cut, the fabrication and details. I will be wearing these 12 months of the year. If you made them in a charcoal grey I'd buy them too in a he...artbeat.
Terrible quality. Total waste of money. Unlined, thin and itchy fabric. Panty lines and anything I tuck in is completely visible. And get this -- after a month the seat was stretched-out and sagging!

These are nice pants. I like that they are unlined. I returned them because they are just too high rise for me, but if you like high rise, these are nice.

Comments about High-Rise Modern Straight Italian Lightweight Wool Pant
The Italian wool fabric feels breathable and comfortable. The only downside is that they're unlined, so the material feels a bit thin and wrinkles easily. I also had to size up because the waist runs small.

I like these pants but they aren't long enough and don't fit me like I prefer.

bananarepublic.gap.com/I have loved Banana Republic in the past. I have long legs and finding appropriate trousers for work has been a challenge. Banana Republic used to be somewhere I could reliably find long, well-tailored pants. I own two pairs of BR pants which are size 8L. They are a bit too large in the waist for me, but the length is amazing, so I ordered these in a 6L. They were a little too tight and short (I could wear them, but I didn't like how the front pleat pulled completely flat) so I opted to size up. To my disappointment the 8L were too large in the waist and still too tight in the thigh. This pant also claims a 33.5" inseam. You have to stretch the pant out lengthwise to hit 33.5" - this fabric does not drape to that length. All this to say: my long-legged, semi-thick-thighed friends... move along. These are not for us.

bananarepublic.gap.com/Pants are just right, true navy blue. I'm 5'6" tall, 188lbs, size 12 regular. The front zipper area is a little long, but I like that. The pants are a little long but I can wear a 1" flat without them sweeping the ground.

bananarepublic.gap.com/The quality of the wool pant is fine, it's very light and flowy if that is what you want. They should work great in the summer. However, because there is no lining, anywhere they are touching your skin they reveal things you may want to hide, the pockets on the back will move about or ride up and make your back side look sloppy. On the front, if you have any kind of hip the pockets flare out a little. On the bright side, they are wool so they have a nice drape, they are naturally resistant to staining so they stay clean a lot longer than their ponte pant. I wouldn't buy these full price due to missing features I would expect at this price point (lining, better construction on the pockets). I just wish BR would go back to lining some of their professional pants, because there is little that looks professional about their work pants once you wear them for a few hours.
