I love this soft roomy stylish coat that I'm planning to wear with my bulky sweaters. The fabric is amazing, almost 75% soft wool and not itchy at all. The collar is a bit large but not overwhelming and it's not too cropped either. I'm 5'8, 135 lbs and the Medium size is oversized but looks good on.... I certainly didn't need another coat but the beautiful yellow colour is not too mustardy and the sale price was hard to pass up. Plus wearing bulky sweaters will be more comfortable this winter when it's icy cold and windy. I bet the navy color is nice too and a steal on sale! I love BR! Rarely disappointed with their stylish clothes made in natural fabrics so I've been shopping BR since 2000.
I went to the store to try and buy the coat, but it turned to be fitting poorly with showers just hanging down. It is not a classic design but rather a trendy cropped oversized one with bulky sleeves. You can do better, Banana Republic, some things need to stay timeless and classy instead of running... for a short trend.

I have been seriously looking for the perfect Peacoat for at least five years but could never find one that didn't look heavy or like it was "trying too hard". When I saw this one I knew immediately it was worth a try and was I right! The fabric is wonderful and the style is peacoat all the way but with such a cool modern twist because of the boxey shorter design. It was so worth the wait! I couldn't recommend it higher.

This jacket is an up- to- date adaptation of a classic pea coat. The fabric is high end melton cloth, and the tailoring is well done. The hem hits just below the waist, the shoulders are a drop style, the pockets are deep, sleeves are a perfect length for 5'8". The jacket looks stylish buttoned or open.

I actually like the colour…was nervous it would not be a nice shade of yellow but I find it reflective of the pictures. A bit stiff with the collars but it's really warm. I got an XS and I'm typically a small. I'm on the short side (5'1) and it kinda feels like the coat is wearing me lol, so I'll need to figure out how to style it to suit my frame.
