Beautiful dress; quality material. It's thicker material than I thought - can almost feel like a denim but isn't. It holds nice because of the thickness. I have a more curvy body; it does a good job of accentuating the waist and is flattering.

I wanted to love this dress but I need to return it. The cut is nice, very classic, flattering shape. But one of the perils of shopping online is being unable to feel the fabric. This dress is made out of very heavy canvas that isn't soft or lightweight at all. It's a summer dress but the fabric is like something an army tent would be made from. Because of the fabric, the color is not true black, more of a charcoal/faded black. Will be returning.

bananarepublic.gap.com/the fabric actually thick, which make it perfect for spring and autumn. as everybody suggested, I take 4 instead of 2, my usual size. and it turned out perfect fit, specially the chest, not even with bra. I mean, you don't need to wear a bra, the fabric itself it thick enough. love the pocket, and the washed color. girls, make sure you order at least one size up.
