This sweater looks and feels great! It's not itchy, but instead feels cozy and soft. (I don't usually have issues with merino wool, especially when it's blended with other fibers.) It isn't heavy or light, but more-so in the middle. The waistband falls below the waist, but above the hips. I do need... to cuff the arms to fit me, but it looks good. I bought it in two colors, the sea blue, and mushroom taupe. I hope to wear the taupe one with jeans or black dress pants. I bought them in size medium even though according to the size chart, I should be buying a small. FYI, I am 5'3" & have a 34D chest. I recommend this sweater!
I got this in both pink & dark blue and both shrinked after the first washes. I washed them with my delicates like wool and cashmere pieces on the special program. + they are pilling so much.. especially the dark blue one on the arms, armpits and chest area… (there isn't much in the photos as I rem...oved them myself a few times) I don't recommend this and I'm very disappointed that I paid so much for not one, but two badly made pieces.

The Fireside Sweater is a wardrobe staple. The style and fit are classic. The merino cotton is soft. The sweater keeps its shape. It can be dressed up or down. Your closet will thank you.

bananarepublic.gap.com/I normally wear a small. When I pulled it out of the bag it looked like it was ordered for a child or had been shrunk. Laughably small and inaccurate.

This sweater is a nice-quality basic that could be worn most (if not all) of the year, depending on the climate. It's a little scratchy so I don't think you would wear it alone. I am between an XS & a S, and I ordered the Small. I would characterize the fit as "shrunken," which means it's quite fitted & I won't be able to layer anything more than a very thin tee shirt underneath it.

I am very happy with this sweater! Being small framed, I always wear an XS and this is true to size. I wanted something fitted, not slouchy or oversized. It is warm without being heavy.

The aqua is such a beautiful color but I thought it might be a little itchy. It's not. It's soft and beautiful and I absolutely love it. It's true to size. I normallywear a small and I bought a small and it fits perfectly.

bananarepublic.gap.com/I wish I'd seen the comments about shrinking before I bought this. I gave mine to a 9-year-old child, as it only fit her after the first wash. Disappointed to have wasted my money on this!!

bananarepublic.gap.com/Bought for Christmas not at this clearance price. Washed as directed and then I could barely put it on. Got it wet and tried to stretch it carefully. Dried even smaller. Returned. Store employee told me that they don't wash theirs. I bought a different merino/cotton sweater it also shrunk. It was very oversized so I could still wear it but I liked it better before.

A beautiful plush, soft and tts sweater. I have 5 of these sweaters and they are a true classic, with lovely detail stitching. The colors are beautiful too!!!!
