I am 5'3 (162 cm) and 115lbs, size 2 petite fits well, but I shouldn't gain more shoulder muscles because then it will be too tight (I am usually pretty athletic but not in the greatest shape at the moment). When I lift my arms it is actually not optimal but apart from that, it does look elegant and feels like it is good quality. Had the regular size 2 before and that was way too big , especially arm length and overall around the body. I might have been faring better with size 4 petite but they didn't have it anymore. I hope this helps somebody deciding on their ideal size.

This runs pretty large for a slim fit. I loved the fabric and the suit but I ended up returning it because of the size.

I have been looking for a camel blazer for quite some time. I decided I wasn't going to settle for just OK and I found this one and I absolutely love it! It fits like it was Taylor made. Very comfortable to wear in the color goes with everything. So happy I went to Banana Republic.

I bought the saddle brown blazer (size P12) and straight pants (10 regular fit). This fabric and cut is perfect. BR should add a matching sheath dress in midi length with short sleeves (you can take the jacket off at work. I think you should promote a balance of workwear as well as weekend attire. Your blazers and pants are too fantastic to be hiding behind all of your lovely weekend wear. I am a teacher and wear one of your blazers almost every day with straight or wide legged jeans. I look professional and feel comfortable. I have been shopping at BR (and Gap) since it opened.

For reference, I'm 5'3" 123 lbs and often find myself on the cusp of petite and regular sizes. I got this blazer sized 2P because I like a bit more of a fitted look with a jacket, and it honestly looks like it was custom made for me. It sits perfectly at the hip and shoulders and the arms are just long enough, where if I extend my arms they move up the wrist a bit which is how I know it's a well-structured garment. Genuinely good quality and lightweight fabric. I typically wear this at work with jeans, but am looking into getting more colors and matching pants to have full suits. Super happy with the purchase.

Over the years I have shopped for the perfect wool blazer, and flopped more times than I like to remember or confess. I'm short and stocky enough that I need petites sizing. So of course, when I found a good garment in a regular size — taking a chance, right? — I would spring for it. Worse, too often my hopes overrode any good sense, and I would stupidly wait too long to return a blazer with an unflattering length and a cut that emphasized my already wide shoulders. Well, thanks to reviewers on this site, I tried this blazer (ordered in two sizes, returned one), and it is a big success. Even though it's described as "slim," it's generously enough cut that it skims the figure and buttons nicely. I'm trying to do Project 333, and this lovely, flattering, practical wardrobe basic will be counted among my fall, winter, and spring selections. Whew! At last!—right?

Great fabric and style but the petite 00 is quite large. Seems the blazers lately aren't a true petite anymore. Please bring them back. The sizing used to fit much better.
