bananarepublic.gap.com/Becides receiving this stuffed into a bag very wrinkled, it is a thin linen and so enormous. I hurked the straps up so the key hole was higher shortening the dress considerably but the amount of fabric is absurb. i will have to totally redesign this because it is final sale. what a waste.

oldnavy.gap.comWish I hadn't spent so much money on a final sale item that fit so poorly. Felt like the dress was cutting into my armpits, and couldn't even make it look decent with a cute bralette. Normally a bralette can make up for something that doesn't fit right, but there was no hope for this dress.

Beautiful fabric but odd fit. The chest area is very tight, and the way the waist falls is unflattering. It's a shame; I really wanted to love this dress.

I wanted to love this dress, but the fit is not great. The chest area is very tight, and it is not suited for anyone with a fuller bust. The fall of the waist is also awkward, even though I ordered a petite. I also found the fabric too heavy and bulky, and not at all what I would expect for a breezy summer dress. Overall, for the price point, the fit and quality are not great. In person, it looks like any odd dress you can pick up at Old Navy (and no offence to Old Navy 😂, I love their stuff, but BR is supposed to be the premium sister brand).

Nice dress. Love the fabric, but it feels a little heavy with the thin straps.

Dress is cute but hole in the center shows your chest area. Probably better for women with very small boobs. I'm a 38 B and you can see my girls through the center hole. I will have to wear a tank top underneath. Otherwise the fabric is nice and the dress flows well.

bananarepublic.gap.com/Love this linen fabric - it's not at all scratchy as another reviewer noted. I'm 5'4" 34D 153lbs. The fit is perfect and forgive my of my mature hips and waist -but as shown in the photo - the open loop in the front does expose a fair bit more cleavage than I'm comfortable with. I still rated it a 5 - because it fits perfectly and I love it. Wore it to a theater musical with a waist length slightly fitted sweater to cover the cleavage and plan to do minor adjustments to minimize the width of the front opening. Length is just above the floor on me. Adjustable straps allowed me to shorten straps just enough. Love this dress !!

bananarepublic.gap.com/Got XS which is a bit long, but a wide woven leather belt picks up the length some. That & adjusting the shoulder straps allow it to fall mid-calf on my 5'3; 34D, 26,36.5; 130 lbs frame. Just love the coffee hue in this dress. Together with my Dooney & Bourke red florentine leather sac, this dress makes a dramatic statement.

Comments about Linen Drop-Waist Maxi Dress
First off, the fabric in this dress is gorgeous - I am really hoping it will appear in some other type of more wearable garment. I loved it so much I was tempted to keep the dress and have it altered into a skirt. Unfortunately, the cut of this dress is awkward. The cutout in the front showed much more cleavage than I was comfortable with (and I do not have a large bust), the thin straps made it impossible to pair with anything but a strapless bra, and unless I made the straps very long, it cut in under my armpits. When they were long, it was way too low in the front. No matter how I adjusted it, it felt bad and looked worse. BR, please use this fabric in something easier to wear!
